Tiny, low productivity sessions.
For my main ‘showcase’ of my findings in IDS fair, I analyzed two different articles: One by me, and one by PiMyLifeUp. I highlighted important aspects of the articles, and began to discuss their strategies. I did some extra, detailed research on how the use of keywords supports the search engine’s promotion of people’s website. I also added comments so I know what to write as comments, pointing out the strategies used.
Today, I used the google search console to monitor and set up my website’s statistics. This is useful because I can determine which articles are performing best and can then figure out what the most effective way of optimizing the search engine is. I also opened up instagram on my computer for unrelated business but found that I was logged in to a new account I created a few weeks ago (piproficient). Today, It wasn’t a long session. I logged on, remembered my website was blocked, and sent an E-mail to my mentor to request its unblocking. I also tried to sign up for Monster Insights, a Search Engine Opitmization tool. After entering information, confirming my account, etc.., it asked me for a credit card to ‘verify’ my account. No thanks. So, not so productive. But, I’m planning on doing more this afternoon, when I get home.
This session I, I created an epic SSL certificate – it makes the little checkmark next to the domain in the web address. I also sorted out the fact that BlueHost (my hosting provider) did not show me the site so I could log in, so I just created a new site at http://piproficient.com/web.
